Lecture Title : "The Killer Drawing: Strategic Representation for Architectural Thesis"

Lecture Synopsis:

This lecture focuses on the creation of the “killer drawing” — an impactful representation that captures the essence of an architectural thesis project. Aimed at Master of Architecture students, the session emphasizes drawing as both a design tool and a communicative device. It will explore how conceptual clarity, visual hierarchy, and material expression converge to convey spatial intent and narrative depth. Case studies will illustrate diverse approaches to representation, while practical guidance will help students plan, compose, and refine their signature images. The goal is to equip students with the critical and visual skills to craft drawings that not only succeed in academic reviews, publications, and professional portfolios but to inform and inspire real-world architectural outcomes.
